Car Alarm Systems
Different kinds of car alarm functions are stated. Also affirmed are its latest technological developments. In 1896, the first ever car theft case was reported in the United States. From that moment on, cars and other kinds of engine vehicles were the prime target of many thieves and hijackers. However, the discovery of an effective car alarm system in the 19th century increasingly dropped the car burglary incidents. A car alarm is defined as a car-fitted tool used primarily as an anti-theft instrument. The device works systematically by producing a very loud sound. Aside from this, some alarms also immobilizes the car by stopping the main engine itself. Others simply sends off a message to the owner through a cellphone or a beeper. Car alarms are activated by certain vibrations (including motorcycle sounds, decibelled noises, and even crying babies), and/or when it is touched. A common car alarm system is composed of the following materials. These are the sensors (which include the motion detectors, pressure sensors, and the switches), radio handset (enables the wireless control), siren (the source of the sound), backup battery (used as an auxiliary battery in case the main battery is not connected), and the computer control (considered as the brain of the system). According to some reports in the United States, there is an average of one car being stolen every 20 seconds. With this, many major car alarm companies around the world have stepped-up to combat the sinister and menace of car burglary. Some of them have engaged in numerous developments with the help of modern technology. These include the automatic switching system (when the driver leaves the car, the alarm will automatically switched on), the two-way LCD car alarm with remote start (it can check whether the car's doors, windows, hood, and trunk are open), shock sensor, and the car monitor pager (it tracks the location of the car with the help of the Geographical Positioning System or GPS).
